I've never used a shampoo brush before and to be quite honest I only bought it to get over the 'free-shipping' amount but the brush is actually rather nice. The 'bristles' are of a softer silicone but you can definitely feel the pointy ends (in a good way), it does feel like a massage. I don't always use the brush but I do regularly use it which makes me happy to have chosen the brush as my 'random' item.
